IDENTIFYING THE INFESTATION
Unfortunately like most pest infestations, you will probably spot signs of bed bugs, before actually seeing them. Some of the most common signs of bed bugs are little brown/black or red stains on your bed sheet, mattress, or sleep wear, as well as little red marks on skin.
Bed bugs are small oval-shaped reddish-brown insects approximately 6 to 9 mm long. Bed Bug eggs are white and oval shaped, about 1mm long.
THE NEXT STEPS
Since bed bugs can be very difficult to find, it is important to call a professional pest control technician if you find any signs of bed bugs. When you schedule a bed bug inspection with Eco Bed Bug, one of our trained technicians will come out to perform a full bed bug inspection throughout your home. We will thoroughly examine your entire home, and will search for bed bugs in furniture, carpeting, linens, and any cracks. We will then recommend a bedbug treatment plan best appropriate for your home.
There are several different methods to treat bed bugs. Depending on the size of the infestation, the size and structure of the home, and your personal preferences, different options may be used. Bed Bug treatments are very intensive and can take several hours to complete due to the habits of these insects. Immediately following the bedbug treatment, a minimum 4-hour vacancy period will be enforced. In most cases, after the treatment you do not need to discard your mattress or other furniture.
